I'm Daymien Nava, a photographer specializing in capturing authentic, emotionally-driven moments through the lens.

Photography found me in the middle of chaos — crowded venues, flashing lights, and music that shook the floor. I started out shooting live shows, trying to hold onto the energy and emotion that came and went in seconds. The expressions, the movement, the lights — it all felt alive, and I wanted to capture it before it disappeared.

What began as a hobby quickly became a deeper passion. Once I picked up my first professional camera, I threw myself into learning everything I could — from lighting and composition to timing and storytelling. Concerts were my training ground, teaching me how to adapt fast, think creatively, and find meaning in motion. Those lessons shaped how I shoot everything today.

Over time, that same curiosity led me into the streets, where I found another kind of performance — street art. The walls told stories of the city, full of color, grit, and emotion. I’m drawn to it for the same reasons I love live music: it’s raw, expressive, and often fleeting. Photographing street art lets me document creativity that exists in the moment — before it fades, gets painted over, or is forgotten.

Now, whether I’m shooting a concert, a portrait, or a scene unfolding in everyday life, my goal stays the same: to capture something real. I want my photos to feel honest — to hold emotion, atmosphere, and story in a single frame.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I’d love the chance to work together and help tell your story through my lens.
